The secret is finally out… and I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to share this one.
For the last few weeks, I’ve been sitting on some rather exciting news.
I knew about it.
I just wasn’t allowed to tell anyone.
But now the embargo has lifted, I can finally announce that Club-K Health & Fitness has been selected to receive the Diamond Distinction Award for Leading Independent Health & Fitness Centre – UK 2026.
And honestly, this one feels a little bit different.
I’ve been lucky enough to receive awards for individual areas of Club-K over the years, but this recognition is for Club-K Health & Fitness as a whole.
That means the things we do every day – from Personal Training and Pilates Reformer, to our fitness classes, sports massage, rehabilitation and specialist health and fitness support – are being recognised on a national level.
From Hextable to UK recognition
Club-K is an independent health and fitness centre based in Hextable, Kent, rather than part of a huge national gym chain.
It started with a simple idea:
To get everyone moving in a way that improves their lives.
Over the years, that has grown into something much bigger than simply somewhere to exercise.
We have Personal Training.
We have Pilates and Reformer Pilates.
We have fitness classes.
We have sports massage and manual therapy.
We have rehabilitation and specialist exercise for people living with different health conditions.
And, perhaps most importantly, we have a community where people can turn up exactly as they are.
The Diamond Distinction Awards told me that their recipients are selected through a combination of industry nominations, online presence, customer reviews and demonstrated commitment to quality.
So this award isn’t just about what I think Club-K does well.
It reflects recognition from outside the business too.
And that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
And that’s not the only award…
The Diamond Distinction Award joins a rather ridiculous-looking list of recognition for Club-K in 2026!
We’ve also been recognised by:
Prestige Awards – Sports Massage Therapy Centre of the Year 2026
And this one is particularly special because it is now the fifth consecutive year that Club-K has received the award.
Five years.
Five awards.
For sports massage therapy.
That’s something I never take for granted.

SME News Awards – Best Health & Fitness Centre 2026 – Kent
And I was personally recognised by Innervision Global as Influential Man in Business – Fitness & Health Expert 2026 – South East.
So, yes… I’m allowing myself a little moment to be proud.
What does this actually mean for Club-K?
I’m not going to claim that one award magically makes us the best at everything in the UK.
But I am going to say that being recognised as a Leading Independent Health & Fitness Centre – UK 2026 is a pretty powerful endorsement of what we have built here in Hextable.
And when you put that alongside five consecutive years of national recognition for sports massage, a Kent-wide health and fitness award, and recognition for my work in the fitness and health industry, it tells a pretty compelling story.
Club-K isn’t just a gym.
It’s not just a Pilates studio.
It’s not just a sports massage clinic.
It’s not just a Personal Training studio.
It’s a health, fitness, rehabilitation and wellbeing centre that brings all of those things together.
And I think that’s what makes Club-K different.
Someone can come through the door because they want to get fitter.
Someone else might come because their back hurts.
Someone might want Personal Training because they’ve never felt comfortable in a normal gym.
Someone might discover Reformer Pilates.
Someone might come for a sports massage.
And someone else might simply need somewhere friendly where they can turn up, have a laugh and move a bit more.
All of those people belong at Club-K.
Awards are lovely. But the members are the reason we exist.
Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love winning awards.
You’d have to be pretty strange not to!
But the certificates aren’t why I do this.
The real reward is seeing someone who was nervous about starting exercise become confident.
Seeing someone’s pain improve.
Watching someone discover that they are capable of much more than they thought.
Seeing members support each other through life’s ups and downs.
And watching people who once said “I’m too old for that” get stuck into a class, try Reformer Pilates or lift something they didn’t think they could lift.
That’s what Club-K is really about.
The awards are recognition of what we do.
The members are why we do it.
So, after a few weeks of keeping very quiet…
I’m finally allowed to say it.

From a little independent studio in Hextable, Kent…
to national recognition.
Not bad for a place built around one very simple philosophy:
JUST TURN UP.
And thank you to every single person who has walked through the Club-K doors, booked a class, had a massage, tried PT, climbed onto a Reformer, trusted me with their rehabilitation, left a review, recommended us to a friend or simply helped make Club-K what it is.
