Coming Into the Club: What to Expect on Your First Visit to Club-K
If it’s your first time coming to a class at Club-K, it’s completely normal to feel a bit unsure about where to go and what to do. This guide will walk you through exactly what to expect so you can arrive feeling relaxed and confident.
Finding the Right Entrance
As you drive into the car park, the main entrance to the club is on the right-hand side of the building.
The black doors directly in front of you are fire exit doors (or escape doors if you decide the class really isn’t for you ). Please don’t come in through those — if a class is already in progress, you’d walk straight into the middle of it.
Reception Area
When you come through the main entrance, you’ll arrive directly into reception. This is where everyone waits for the previous class to finish so you can all head into the studio together.
Just off reception you’ll find:
- A toilet, if needed
- Our library, which is free for anyone to borrow a book — whether you’re a member or not
- Seating, which is perfect for changing from outdoor shoes into clean indoor trainers
We don’t allow outdoor shoes in the studio, so this helps keep the space clean and safe for everyone.
Entering the Studio
Once the instructor is ready, they’ll call you through into the studio.
Behind the studio door you’ll find:
- Coat hooks
- Square storage shelves for your belongings and shoes
We ask that shoes and bags are stored off the floor. Not only does it keep the studio tidy, but it’s also worth knowing that around 90% of studio insurance claims come from people tripping over handbags — so this rule really is about keeping everyone safe.
No One Has “A Spot”
One of the most important rules at Club-K is this: nobody has a spot.
That means if you’re new, you never have to worry about standing in the wrong place or taking someone else’s space. Just come in, pick a spot, and get comfortable.
Feeling Nervous About Trying a Class?
If you’re someone who feels anxious about trying new things, we’ve made this part easy too.
You can try five of our classes online before you even step into the club, so you know exactly what you’re walking into. Just click the FREE VIDEOS tab at the top of the website (or use the three-line menu in the top right corner).
